LUNG DISSECTION
The 3rd grade Biology students have prepared a brief explanation of the dissection of the lungs. The main purpose is to get used to talk in English, outside of English class.
The content of the Biology subject this 3rd grade is basically Human Anatomy and Physiology.
This kind of activities are common in the subject and are usualy very motivating and rewarding for students. They often practice dissecting different organs of animals that are very similar to us, such as pigs or lambs. The students prepared a short film of the laboratory practice of the dissection of the lung. Here we show one of the videos they have made.
VERTEBRATE ANIMALS OF CATALONIA
Activity carried out by the students of Biology of 1st grade: a poster presentation in English. In order to know something about our native fauna, and at the same time study vertebrates, students have prepared a poster and then they have had to present it with simple words.

DONES, ARBRES I POESIA
Us presentem una aposta per la interdisciplinarietat i el treball col·laboratiu (pilars de la metodologia AICLE i, doncs, del projecte GEP), que tenim la intenció d’ampliar en els propers cursos.
Hem començat per un projecte que acosta dues matèries optatives de 2n de batxillerat: Ciències de la Terra i Literatura catalana. L’eix vertebrador ha estat el recull poètic Dones, arbres i poesia, a cura de Marta Pérez Sierra i Margalida Capellà i Soler (Voliana edicions, 2021). L’escenari escollit, el jardí del nostre institut. El treball en comú: la tria de composicions referides a les espècies vegetals presents al jardí; la caracterització botànica de cadascuna d’elles, a càrrec de l’alumnat de Ciències; la lectura en veu alta dels poemes, a càrrec de l’alumnat de Literatura. Una proposta per a Sant Jordi, que vol ser llavor de les flors que naixeran en noves primaveres.
